The genesis
Founded in 1986 , the French jewelry brand Au Bout des Rêves embodies the charm and elegance of French craftsmanship. Its creator, Catherine Popesco, gave birth to the brand after an inspiring discovery: a set of antique brooches from the late 19th century, unearthed at the famous Paris Flea Market.
For over twenty years, Catherine Popesco has been making Au Bout des Rêves shine in France and internationally, captivating lovers of vintage and romantic jewelry in the United States, Australia, and Japan. Thanks to its timeless style and handcrafted creations, the brand has become a benchmark in high-end costume jewelry .
In 2008, after two decades of passion and creativity, Catherine Popesco moved to the United States and passed her company on to one of her colleagues. This colleague faithfully upheld French artisanal traditions while expanding the brand's international presence. Au Bout des Rêves thus continues to write its story, a blend of heritage, elegance, and creativity.
In 2016, Au Bout des Rêves changed ownership. Alexandra BLIN, a jewelry designer for many years, decided to embark on the great adventure of vintage costume jewelry AU BOUT DES REVES.
A French production
Craftsmanship is above all a quest for authenticity. It embodies the transmission of skills, respect for a job well done, and a constant pursuit of quality rather than quantity. The Au Bout des Rêves brand fully embraces this philosophy, celebrating French production where each piece of jewelry is born from a precise gesture and uncompromising creativity.
The designer envisions each collection in harmony with our Art Nouveau – Art Deco aesthetic, while drawing inspiration from current trends: colors , sizes , volumes , and materials . Animals and flowers remain essential symbols in our creations, revealing the beauty of nature through luminous and refined compositions.
In our workshop, the collections evolve with the seasons: winter is dressed in warm colors , black , white , and generous shapes , while summer is adorned with vibrant hues and lighter lines . Each piece combines retro elegance and contemporary boldness, enhanced by artisanal techniques such as the assembly of prints , the stained-glass effect , the enamel effect , SWAROVSKI® crystals , and metalwork .
